Context
In 2022-2023, OKKO updated its own fleet for fuel transportation. The company continues to develop the transport and logistics sector and plans to increase investments in railway tanks.
The Ukrainian fuel market is more than 10 million tons of fuel for a total amount of more than UAH 500 billion, according to the A-95 Consulting Group. A third of the retail market is occupied by two companies that consolidated their leading positions in 2023: OKKO of Vitaliy Antonov and WOG of Serhiy Lahur and Svitlana Ivakhiv. Compared to the pre-war year 2021, OKKO increased its market share by five percentage points, to 18.7%, WOG – by 3.5 percentage points, to 13.6%. In June, as a result of enemy attacks, the OKKO group of companies lost two oil depots, the preliminary amount of losses is estimated at $8.5 million, the press service of Forbes Ukraine reported. After this drone attack, for the purpose of further security, the company decided to switch to work “from wheels”, that is, without accumulating fuel at the oil depot.
The owner of the TAS group is Serhiy Tigipko, 64. Over the past 10 years, Tigipko has been one of the most active investors in Ukrainian assets: the TAS group has acquired more than a dozen factories and companies. Its portfolio includes an agricultural holding with 80,000 hectares of land, 11 factories in various industries, a railway carrier, top insurance companies, banks and the most expensive asset - monobank. At the end of May, Tigipko announced that the TAS group had launched three companies in the European markets: Poland, Germany and the UK.
